Gracie used to tell her stories about the ocean, later Charlotte found out that her grandmother was once a mermaid. Max confirmed Charlotte's suspicions that Gracie used to be a one of the original mermaids. Max tells Charlotte, that although Gracie was a mermaid, he still loved her, and even more so when she was a mermaid.
Powers and Abilities
Not only does Rikki shows her rebellious nature freely, but she encourage it in her friends as well. In "Pressure Cooker", Rikki encouraged Cleo and Emma to rebel against Charlotte Watsford and her mother, Annette Watsford who were invited by Don Sertori to stay over for dinner. Thinking that Don is getting remarried and that Charlotte will become Cleo's step sister, Rikki encouraged the others to use their powers to ruin the food, not knowing that Annette was only invited as a business partner.
She decided to break up with him when she caught Sophie kissing Zane at Will's Free-Diving Championship. Desperate to get her back, Zane tries to gain Rikki's attention by stealing a necklace Will made for her out of moon crystals. Sophie tries to convince him to move on by taking Rikki's name down from the café, but he refused. Throughout the rest of the season, Zane tried his best to win Rikki back, but unfortunately, ended up wrecking it more. The season ended with Rikki and Zane back on speaking terms, however, they did not officially get back together.
However, despite being a powerful mermaid, it was due to the girls' Combined Atmokinesis that they defeated Charlotte under the Moon of Fifty Years in the Moon Pool at Mako Island back in 2007. Despite this, they were almost overpowered by Charlotte herself and ended up permanently as human beings, just like Charlotte did. Wells was interested in film from a young age, but did not initially pursue it.
Princess Charlotte's cute nickname
It is an element of her personality that even Queen Elizabeth II confirmed. As noted by People, the late queen was attending an event when she asked a 10-year-old, Emily Clay, if she "looked after" her younger sister. Clay's mom responded to the queen, "It's the other way around," indicating that the younger of the two girls was in charge.
Personal life
Rikki Chadwick was a teenage girl by the events of Season 1, and was by this time she also became a mermaid. In the episode "Hocus Pocus", Rikki was responsible for causing the magical, wish-granting seaweed fungus to take over the café. Lewis and Cleo insisted on using the café's cool room to create their wish giving potion. Annoyed that Lewis had wasted her time, Rikki gave the potion an overdose of her magic, causing it to overflow overnight and eventually flood into the rest of the building.

Rikki witnessed their argument and saw how rude Zane was to her father and decided to avoid him. Not knowing that Terry is her father, Zane was confused as to why she did so. He then revealed to Emma and Cleo that he knew their secret and asked them to talk to Rikki for him.
At the same time, Charlotte wanted to take away the girls powers so that she could be the most powerful mermaid ever, and so that she would be the only special one for Lewis. This leads Charlotte to secretly break into Cleo's room and steal a film, in which she would discover the existence of mermaids, and that her own grandmother was one. She confronts Lewis with this information, only to end in him denying their existence. In "Then There Were Four," Lewis, in an attempt to give the mermaid research back to Max Hamilton, Charlotte secretly follows Lewis and asks Max questions about Gracie.
Little Princess Charlotte might be just 7 years old, but she's clearly mature beyond her years. In fact, it became clear during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations that the now-third in line to the throne is well-versed in royal etiquette, telling her older brother how to behave during the celebratory affair. As the anthem was playing, Prince George put his hand on the balcony's railing, but only for a split second thanks to Charlotte. The young princess was seen nudging her older brother to stand at attention and put his arms at his sides — truly a middle child moment. The three lockets were made by Max Hamilton for the original three mermaids, (Louise Chatham, Gracie Watsford, and Julia).
Charlotte is the new girl in town and arrives after the girls were given their new powers. At her old school of Rosewood Secondary College she was one of the best artists. She draws a picture of him, after Cleo claims she needs space to learn to control her new powers, and uses this time to try to get Lewis to go out with her. In "Missed the Boat", Charlotte comes up with a plan to get Lewis alone, away from Cleo.
Everyday situations turn tricky as the girls struggle to cope with their new-found powers, which have numerous advantages and disadvantages, while also trying to keep them a secret from everyone else. Cleo, Emma, and Rikki are 16-year-old girls growing up on the sun-drenched beaches of the Gold Coast. In the first episode, all three girls are ordinary teens who enjoy talking about boys and going shopping. But, when Zane, the local town bad-boy, pushes Cleo floating out to sea on his boat, the magic starts to come in.
